Benefits of our MeditationRings
We realize that individuals within society have stresses, and those stresses affect everyone in different ways. Some common stress descriptions are characteristics as feeling anxious, tense or worried. These stressors have varying affects on our emotions, and we believe our meaningful jewelry collection helps reduce those stressors differently and with individual, yet collectively, results benefiting ones’ rested spirit and soulful peace.
Our MeditationRings
People love our MeditationRings because they are fresh and exciting as all our MeditationRings are individually named with its own meaning, giving the wearer a sense of ownership and creating a personal relation to the ring of their choice. Our MeditationRings are also stylish and fun. Each MeditationRing is designed with varying combinations of earth elements of Silver, Gold and semi-precious stones, giving each ring a unique and individual look that captivates and further builds and strengthens the relationship with your ring, your spirit and soul.
Most importantly, our MeditationRings are extremely interactive; having individual bands that spin around the base of the ring. This interaction with your MeditationRing has a purpose, and that purpose is to increase wellness to the wearer. As each rings’ bands spin, you create a greater focus on the continued spinning motion. The continued energy and focus to spinning the ring can rid negative thoughts that might have been on one’s mind or dominating one’s thoughts. Your thoughts are now focused on spinning your ring and not with all the external factors that might be prevalent at that moment or built up in your life. Often, and specifically in stressful moments, many people resort to fidgeting and sourcing an outlet to the nervous or anxious built-up internal energy. We relate spinning our bands to what the historical concepts of mind relaxation items such as the Tibetan Prayer Wheel, the Chinese Baoding Balls and the Greek Worry Beads, were created for you to use as an outlet to allow more pure thoughts and focused energy, and in our case. spinning our MeditationRings into your life.
Historical Notions
As mentioned above, the Tibetan Prayer Wheels are used by many Tibetans everyday, sometimes for hours on end. Worshippers turn prayer wheels to accumulate merit, to help all beings in the world and to bring Good luck and Fortune, purifying their karma (intentional actions). They are part of a meditation practice and our MeditationRings use this same concept and provide those benefits to your own individual spirits and souls.
Chinese Baoding Balls are metal balls small enough to hold in one hand. As you roll them in the palm of your hand, the relative positions of both balls are constantly alternating. These are also known as Meditation balls that purportedly improve brain function while they exercise your hand muscles. Some people believe that spinning the Meditation balls help reduce stress, because like our MeditationRings and the Tibetan prayer Wheel, your thoughts are focused on the controlled, rhythmic turning of the balls, in which case they may be called “worry balls”, to rid your worry.
Greek Worry Beads or “komboloi” are a string of beads that were established to soothe oneself, especially during difficult times. Worry beads are loosely based on prayer beads that are used in different religions to keep track of prayers and calm the mind by rotating and passing the smooth beads through and around your hand in a continuous, repetitive calming rotation.
Psychological Benefits
The impact of stress on an individual can be quite significant, so much so, that several psychologists including Nancy Sabatini a Licenced Mental Health Counsellor (LMHC) in the state of New York, and who specializes in mental health disorders, believes there is a benefit in wearing one of our MeditationRings. She believes that the benefits of our MeditationRings and the application of the constant spinning motion of our MeditationRings, helps one channel anxious energy into spinning the bands and clearing the mind, by focusing on the flows and spins of the MeditationRing and has immeasurable results in the overall well being of individuals. Her patients, who are treated for ADHD, ADD, and PTSD have been introduced to MeditationRings as an outlet and aid for treatment.
Scienific Evidence
Repetative motions, such as spinning the bands on your MeditationRing can helps slow breath and lower your heart rate by acivating the Relaxation response which is the opposite of the fight/flight. It also can Increases Endorphins and the parasympathetic NervousSystem which is responsible for rest & relaxation.
The fact is repetitive and predictable motions relieve stress for most people. The motion helps redirect our mental and physical focus away from the anxiety. Furthermore, it helps our mind slip from the conscious aggravated state to subconcious more relaxed state. This is why the practice of stimming is so common among those with Autism. self-stimulatory behavior, also known as "stimming" and self-stimulation, is the repetition of physical movements, sounds, words, moving objects, or other repetitive behaviors. Such behaviors are found to some degree in all people, especially those with developmental disabilities, and are also frequent in people on the autism spectrum. These types of self -regulatory and soothing behaiours are found in Neurotypical people as well, such as nail biting, smoking, and fidgeting, our rings provide a discrete way to self sooth without any adverse effects.
Through Meditation and Yoga
Our MeditationRings can also be, and is encouraged to be, applied with any disciplines of Yoga and Meditation to encourage the loss of stress, regain focus and clear your soul. Meditation improves the ability to regulate emotions and re-training your mind to a more peaceful. When certain things happen to you, your mind generates a certain response whether it be happiness, frustration or anger. The way your mind has been conditioned to respond to those negative emotions specifically, and emotions we try and help limit, is the path of least resistance. Unfortunately, our minds quickly and easily fall into those habitual thoughts. Meditation teaches you how and makes it easier to override that process, clear the negative thoughts and calm your mind and soul.
